James Auto Body & Repair is a full service auto and truck repair shop. We perform all repairs from computer diagnosis to full engine replacement. Our shop is equipped with all the latest machinery from a Kansas Jack frame machine for heavy collision repair to computer spin balancer for wheels and tires. We also have a DeVilbiss paint booth to ensure a factory smooth finish on any body work you may need done. No matter what your need, we have the tools and equipment to handle the job. Our Ethics
We believe in treating the customer as we would like to be treated. We inform you of any issues we notice while working on your vehicle. We use the latest diagnostic equipment and software to test all different types of vehicles efficiently and properly.
We donate junk cars for police and fire rescue training in the Hendersonville precincts.
Our History
James Auto Body & Repair is a family business started by George James. The James family moved to Hendersonville, Tennessee in November of 1987 and by 1989, George James began establishing a customer base by working out of his 1969 El Camino. Early customers were mostly used car lots in Madison, Tennessee.
The first shop was opened in 1990 off of Rockland Road. James Auto Body quickly outgrew the one bay garage and began renting a slightly larger four bay garage with a paint booth in Hendersonville.
After about a year James Auto Body again outgrew it’s current location. This time, George James began seeking out his own piece of commercial property for his business. When a lot in an industrial park off of Saundersville Road became available, the James family jumped at the opportunity. James Auto Body has been run out of this same location since 1994, and was expanded two years later to accommodate the growing business.
Meet the Owner
More often than not you will find George in the shop doing the same work he is asking his employees to do. Body and paint work, collision work, transmission repair, and engine repair are not his limits. George will show up to tow in your vehicle and do the repair himself if need be.
His exceptional drive is what has driven his success to this point. George started this business on the idea that a visit to the auto repair shop doesn’t have to be painful.
